Sixth Form Life

Most students stay on from Year 11 into the Sixth Form and are joined by some external candidates. The results obtained by the end of Year 13 are exceptional. Value added figures (progress from GCSE) are also some of the highest amongst Buckinghamshire grammar schools.

Students are also expected to take an active role in the life of the School and are usually seen as role models for the younger students.

An introduction to the Sixth Form from Miss Burrow, Director of Sixth Form is below:

In addition we have produced a set of videos to introduce you to the Sixth Form and our A Level subjects  these are available to view under the Curriculum / Subject Information area on the website. The presentations by Miss Hartley, Headteacher on this page and Miss Burrow, Assistant Head - Director of Sixth Form on the previous page cover information about our Sixth Form and about the application process.

Later in the academic year we will be able to welcome applicants to the school to have a look around, ask questions about the Sixth Form and get a feel in person for what John Hampden has to offer.
